I. Project Background

In the Foshan household-hardware belt, slides are small yet mission-critical components. Their smoothness, stability and durability dictate the “hand-feel” of every piece of furniture. To make a slide both silky and long-lasting, weld quality is decisive.

The customer in this project has spent more than ten years specializing in household hardware and is now a flagship exporter with sizable capacity. Its portfolio covers slides, hinges and furniture accessories, supported by fully fledged stamping, assembly and surface-treatment lines. As orders surged, the company’s core product—the slide—had to meet two welding requirements imposed by high-end cabinets, wardrobes and car seats:


  1. Absolute “zero cold-weld” to guarantee lifelong smoothness and load-bearing strength (≥ 100 000 push-pull cycles without loosening);
  2. Compatibility with a daily output of several thousand sets, eliminating the throughput bottleneck caused by legacy equipment.


Consequently, the customer urgently needed a new welding-equipment supplier capable of matching both its capacity expansion and its premium-quality standards.

The customer’s legacy welders already suffered from low speed and poor accuracy; with orders exploding and lead-times shrinking, those machines could no longer deliver the high throughput, repeatable quality or scale-economy the business now needed:


  • Spot consistency – thin slide rails distort easily and cold-weld;
  • Positional precision – multi-point welds demand high repeatability;
  • Capacity upgrade – old equipment could not keep pace with batch orders;
  • Cosmetic finish – minimal marking and spatter.

1. More stable spots
The vertical medium-frequency inverter DC spot welding machine uses medium-frequency inverter DC technology, resulting in cleaner welding current, more precise output, and less spatter. For thin plate structures like slide rails, it effectively avoids incomplete welds and overheating, resulting in fuller weld shapes and smoother appearances.

2. Precision that lasts
The vertical C-frame keeps ram deflection negligible; force stays constant swing-shift after swing-shift. Customer quote: “Spots look identical no matter which operator or shift.”

3. Intelligent system makes operation easier
The digital welding parameters are adjustable and storable, allowing workers to simply select the recipe for production. The system can also record the welding status and automatically alarm in case of abnormalities, greatly reducing human error.

Considering the diverse range of metal materials used by our clients, including stainless steel, carbon steel, and cold-rolled steel, the equipment employs high-temperature resistant and wear-resistant chromium-zirconium-copper welding components. This allows for rapid heat dissipation during welding, reducing workpiece deformation and ensuring stable performance across all metal components after welding. Furthermore, the equipment's overall structure is durable, resulting in a low failure rate over long-term use and guaranteeing continuous production.
