As a key equipment for achieving efficient connections in metal processing, the welding quality of spot welding machines directly affects the structural strength and service life of products. However, many users may encounter the problem of weak solder joints during long-term use, which not only affects production progress but may also pose safety hazards. Behind this phenomenon, there are often multiple factors involved, such as equipment parameters, component wear, workpiece characteristics, and operating standards.

From the perspective of equipment parameters, the mismatch between welding current, energization time, and electrode pressure is a common cause. If the current is too low or the power on time is insufficient, the contact point of the workpiece cannot reach a sufficient melting temperature, making it difficult to form a solid melt nucleus; If the current is too high or the time is too long, it may cause the solder joint to overheat, burn through, damage the original structure of the metal, and instead reduce the connection strength. In addition, as the usage time increases, the internal control system of the equipment may experience parameter drift. If not calibrated in a timely manner, it will deviate from the optimal welding parameter range, thereby affecting the quality of the solder joints.

The loss and deformation of electrode components are also factors that cannot be ignored. Under long-term high-temperature and high-pressure working conditions, electrodes will gradually experience wear, oxidation, or deformation, resulting in an increase in the contact area with the workpiece. This change will result in a decrease in current density, uneven heat distribution, and the inability to form uniform and effective fusion nuclei at the contact points. At the same time, the oxide layer on the electrode surface will increase the contact resistance, causing additional energy loss and further weakening the welding effect. If the electrodes are not regularly ground or replaced, this problem will become increasingly apparent over time.

The characteristics of the workpiece itself and the pre-treatment situation can also affect the welding quality. When there are oil stains, rust or oxide layers on the surface of the workpiece, these impurities will hinder current conduction and metal fusion, resulting in virtual welding of the solder joint. In addition, workpieces of different materials or thicknesses have specific requirements for welding parameters. If the parameters are frequently adjusted for workpieces of different specifications for a long time without precise adaptation, it can also lead to unstable weld strength. Especially in mass production, subtle differences in workpiece specifications that are not effectively recognized and adapted by equipment can easily lead to batch welding quality issues.

The lack of operational standards and daily maintenance may also exacerbate the problem of weak solder joints. If the operator does not strictly follow the procedures for parameter setting and workpiece positioning, it may lead to poor contact between the electrode and the workpiece; Long term lack of cleaning, lubrication, and component inspection of equipment can lead to a decrease in mechanical transmission accuracy, poor electrical contact, and indirectly affect the stability of the welding process. For example, the loosening of electrode arms can cause pressure fluctuations, and the oxidation of cable joints can increase line resistance. These seemingly small problems accumulate and have a significant impact on the quality of solder joints.

In the face of the above problems, it is crucial to choose a spot welding machine with stable performance, strong adaptability, and easy maintenance. The PDKJ welding machine, with its precise parameter control system, durable electrode components, and intelligent adaptation function, can effectively reduce the quality fluctuations of solder joints during long-term use. Its stable current output and adaptive adjustment technology can achieve precise welding for different workpiece characteristics, and the convenient maintenance design also reduces the impact of component wear on welding quality.
