▷ Application Industry: Pneumatic Equipment Components
▷ Welding Workpiece: Aluminum Alloy Valve Plates / Pneumatic Valve Long Base Plates
High-quality welding equipment is not only about reliable hardware, but also about practical welding processes and professional after-sales support.
In this PDKJ project case, we look back at an overseas delivery project in Malaysia. Through PDKJ's professional on-site commissioning service, the welding equipment was successfully transformed from being idle after delivery into a stable production solution, effectively helping the overseas customer solve its welding challenges.
The customer is based in Malaysia and specializes in the pneumatic equipment components industry. The company focuses on the R&D, processing, and manufacturing of precision pneumatic valve components, with products widely used in automation equipment and industrial machinery.
The industry has strict requirements for welding accuracy and product stability.
To expand production capacity and upgrade its welding process, the customer purchased the PDKJ DTB-280 Vertical Medium-Frequency Inverter DC Spot and Projection Welding Machine.
The equipment is mainly used for batch welding of aluminum alloy valve plates and long base plates for pneumatic valves, with a welding configuration of 2.5 mm + 2.5 mm aluminum alloy overlap welding.
During the project discussions, the customer identified several typical welding challenges.
Aluminum alloy has high thermal conductivity and tends to form a dense oxide layer on its surface. Welding two layers of 2.5 mm aluminum alloy represents a demanding welding application.
During the customer's own testing and parameter adjustment, problems such as excessive spatter, insufficient weld nuggets, incomplete welding, and insufficient joint strength occurred frequently, resulting in an unacceptable product qualification rate.
The customer had difficulty accurately matching the welding parameters to the workpiece requirements.
As a result, weld points varied in size and quality during batch production, making it difficult to maintain consistent production standards.
The overseas production team had limited experience commissioning medium-frequency spot welding equipment.
Simply relying on the equipment manual was not sufficient to develop process parameters specifically suited to the customer's products. As a result, the newly purchased equipment remained idle for an extended period.
This not only affected the production schedule but also resulted in underutilization of the equipment. The customer therefore needed professional technical support on site.
After understanding the customer's actual situation, PDKJ worked closely with the customer to develop a targeted solution.
To ensure the project could be successfully commissioned and put into production, PDKJ arranged professional engineers to travel to the customer's production facility in Malaysia for on-site commissioning, process optimization, and technical guidance.
After arriving on site, the engineers first completed the installation of the equipment and conducted comprehensive inspections and connections of the pneumatic and electrical systems.
Based on the material characteristics and structural design of the customer's 2.5 mm aluminum alloy workpieces, the engineers repeatedly adjusted and optimized the welding parameters.
The commissioning process specifically addressed key aluminum alloy welding issues, including excessive spatter, incomplete welding, and unstable weld points.
At the same time, PDKJ provided systematic training for the customer's operators, covering:
Equipment operating procedures
Welding parameter adjustment
Workpiece clamping methods
Daily equipment maintenance
Basic troubleshooting and operation requirements
The goal was to ensure that the customer's production team could independently and confidently operate the equipment after commissioning.
After multiple rounds of sample welding, quality inspection, and production verification, the welding quality of the aluminum alloy valve plates and pneumatic valve long base plates met the customer's requirements.
The weld points were uniform and firmly bonded, with no obvious spatter defects, successfully meeting the customer's requirements for batch production.
Based on the customer's aluminum alloy valve plates and irregular long workpieces, PDKJ selected the DTB-280 Vertical Medium-Frequency Inverter DC Spot and Projection Welding Machine as the customized welding solution.
The equipment can be optimized for precision component welding processes and is suitable for batch welding applications involving pneumatic equipment components.
The equipment adopts medium-frequency inverter DC technology, with precise closed-loop current control and concentrated, stable welding energy.
This helps address the oxide layer on the surface of aluminum alloy and is suitable for 2.5 mm + 2.5 mm aluminum alloy overlap welding.
By optimizing the welding energy and process parameters, the system helps reduce welding defects and maintain the required joint strength and appearance quality.
The vertical machine structure provides sufficient working space for loading and positioning long, irregularly shaped workpieces.
Dedicated fixtures can also be customized according to the customer's products, allowing accurate positioning of multiple welding points and supporting consistent welding quality during batch production.
The machine uses high-quality industrial-grade core components and an efficient cooling system.
It is designed for long-duration continuous operation and can adapt to demanding production environments.
Stable current output and reliable machine operation help support the production rhythm of overseas manufacturing facilities.
Through PDKJ's overseas on-site commissioning service, the customer's previously idle welding equipment was successfully put into operation.
The project effectively addressed the customer's challenges in thick aluminum alloy welding, process commissioning, and batch production.
The equipment is now operating steadily at the customer's production facility in Malaysia, providing reliable welding support for pneumatic equipment components and helping improve production capacity and welding quality.
For PDKJ, equipment delivery is not simply the completion of an equipment sale. More importantly, it means ensuring that the equipment can be successfully implemented on the customer's production floor and properly matched with the actual product and welding process.
PDKJ is committed to providing more than welding equipment. We provide complete welding solutions covering equipment delivery, process commissioning, technical training, and after-sales support.
